| Posted: | | | | Hi,
my name is Alex and i´m from Germany. I have following question/problem:
If i scan own covers and add them manually to the movie it will not appear online and on the mobile phone. All the other covers appears. Is this generally not possible or do i have to add them in a special way?
Thanks for your answers.
Kind regards Alex |

Kind regards Alex Your custom covers will not show up online, only the covers that have been approved and released in the database will appear online. You can set up phpDVDProfiler and upload your own scans that way as a workaround. | | | Corey |

Can you explain what phpDVDProfiler means? Is this an additional tool? |

Can you explain what phpDVDProfiler means? Is this an additional tool? I'm not very knowledgeable regarding phpDVDProfiler, so another user could probably explain it better. It's basically a script that you upload to your own web server, and it has many more options and display values online. This is user DJ Doena's phpDVDProfiler collection, as an example: http://doena-soft.de/phpdvdprofiler_en/I think the phpDVDProfiler script/software can still be accessed from here if you join that forum: http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php/board,73.0.html | | | Corey |

Kind regards Alex If you have IOS or Android version, you can sync from the desktop to your device.. Then all of your images will be the ones from the desktop. If you sync your IOS or Android device from the online, then you will have the online images on your device... |

| Posted: | | | | If you use PHPDVDProfiler, you will need your own site to display. There is also some work involved in updating PHPDVDProfiler on a regular basis. It will not do it automatically. You can find info here http://dvdaholic.me.uk/forums/ | | | Last edited: by CharlieM |

Kind regards Alex If you have IOS or Android version, you can sync from the desktop to your device.. Then all of your images will be the ones from the desktop. If you sync your IOS or Android device from the online, then you will have the online images on your device... This. If you're running DVD Profiler for Windows and use the iOS or Android app there is the option to download your local DVD Profiler database to the mobile app, i.e. all your local profile data and cover art. Syncing the mobile app with the Invelos (online) hosted version of your collection instead will always limit you to the cover art that is part of the official profiles from the online database. So with the iOS or Android app you'll want to add a "DVD Profiler for PC" database. When creating the database you'll need to enter the local IP address of the computer running DVD Profiler. Once the database is added there's an option to update the database. The mobile app will then connect to your local DVD Profiler database downloading all your local profile data and cover art. (Make sure DVD Profiler is running.) Also, depending on how much storage space you have on your mobile device you may want to hit up the "Update Database->Options->More Options->Cover Images->Max Image Resoltuion" option. There you can set a limit to the cover image size downloaded to your mobile device if needed. If you're looking instead to have your local DVD Profiler database be viewable online, in that case as suggested you'll need to host your own phpDVDProfiler based website. There are a couple other DVD Profiler based website solutions out there as well that I've seen. I myself use phpDVDProfiler. To check out my phpDVDProfiler based website (...best viewed with a browser on a conventional PC or laptop) just hit up the link below in my signature. I had a great time getting it setup. Spent about a month customizing it to suit my needs. Turned out really well I think. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection | | | Last edited: by Lowpro |
