| Posted: | | | | Hello,
Although I fear that this topic is more than once shown, I can't find nowhere the answer.
There are box sets containing movies. I do have many of them and I want to add them in my system in a way that I can add the DVD's individually with actors, pictures, country etc. So the Box set needs to have children. How do I do that in case A the UPC is recognized and B the UPC isn't. I can add discs to the set, but those I cannot edit. A child is not the same! I hope you can help me out and will be very grateful.

Then you go to the box set profile, edit it and then go to Box Set Contents. There you add the child profile.
If you do not have a UPC you have to enter the disc into your disc drive and switch to the "Add by Disc" tab in the "Add DVD" dialog.
Afterwards same as above. | | | Karsten DVD Collectors Online

| Posted: | | | | It might help to add some examples temporarily to your collection and examine closely the structure of the Box Set: Frank Capra: The Early Collection (profile: 609224114717) is an example of a Box Set containing DiscID based profiles. Garbo: The Signature Collection (profile: 012569673946) is made of UPC based profiles. Since each movie is in its own case, you'll notice that the cover images change, contrary to the former where all discs were in a single case. In addition, this Garbo Box Set has a child which is itself a Box Set containing DiscID based grand children. |

| Posted: | | | | Thank you this helps, but.... I do have the following box: Marilyn Monroe The diamond collection part one (I suppose it is Belgian)
If I search for Marilyn I get that collection, but the only child is the last DVD. However if I look at the complete list of all my DVD's I get the + and hopla all the DVD children appear. Why is that?
The same applies to the (test) Frank Capra box!
Thanks |

Thanks Presumably, you are filtering by title and the rest of the contents don't have "Marilyn" in the title, so they get filtered out. |
