| Posted: | | | | The Profile ID appears nowhere on the physical disc. Only the disc ID does. The correspondence is kept in a proprietary file that reflects the online database. When the disc is inserted, DVDP reads the physical disc ID and looks up the Profile ID in order to retrieve the profile metadata. Hence, the disc section can be missing, and in fact the whole profile can be missing in your collection, and DVDP will still identify the disc. I believe this is the way it works, but I will stand corrected if someone knows differently. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. | Posted: | | | | Hi, Thanks for the replies. I should have been more specific. I was adding the newly acquired "Grumpy Old Men/Grumpier Old Men" Blu-ray disc. Profiler identified the disc and asked if I wanted to add it. I answered yes. After downloading the Profile I noticed there was no disc info. I started to edit the profile to add the "Disc iD" but first had to click "Add disc" and then "Set". I now see that the disc has a stick on label with a different UPC than the one on the cover itself which in turn is different from UPC that was downloaded. I'm happy that Profiler knew how to handle the situation. Jim F. |

| Posted: | | | | My Blueray (USA) with disc Info on main title only box set titles has no disc ID as both titles are on one disc . | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

| Posted: | | | | HOLEY MOLEY! Today I picked up the "Tales From The Crypt/Vault of Horror" double feature and have a similar situation. I've decided that for Grumpy , due to the similar titles, I'll enter the data for both titles into a single profile. For Tales/Vault I intend to create a separate profile for each disc. This works for me as I generally keep my discs in binders filed alphabetically. Jim F. |
