| Posted: | | | | I'd like to establish the common name for actor/stuntman Jack(ie) Cooper (1923). I'm particularly interested because his common name determines whether birth years need to be added to distinguish him from American actor Jackie Cooper (1922). The film 'Superman II', shot in the UK, is unique in that it contains both in the same cast list, both as Jackie Cooper: the American actor playing "Perry White" and the British stuntman playing "Dino". The book "Hollywood Stunt Performers, 1910s–1970s: A Biographical Dictionary" lists the following about the British stuntman: JACKIE COOPER ( 4 titles, 4 confirmed) - Beasts: The Complete Series (confirmed by SoylentDave) - The Pink Panther Strikes Again (confirmed by T!M) - The Prisoner (confirmed by T!M) - Superman II (confirmed by T!M) JACK COOPER ( 3 titles, 1 confirmed) - Custer of the West (confirmed by SoylentDave) - The MacKintosh Man - The Sister in Law INVALID- Sword of Sherwood Forest (credited, as Jack Cooper, in the crew section as "Master of Archery" - not something we track in DVD Profiler, confirmed by Rutan) With 4 vs. 3 titles this British stuntman's common name for our purposes is Jackie Cooper, which means birth years are needed. | | | Last edited: by T!M |

Arthur of the Britons (TV Series) - The Slaves (1973) Jackie Cooper as Ensel. The DVD has not been profiled yet. I do own it so I better watch it!
Psychomania: Jack Cooper Under opening credits divider of "And Riding the Motor-cycles" Therefore should be part of the credits even thought the main credits are at the end. It is to be noted that 3 of the riders are stunt men and one them Rocky Taylor has credit in the end credits. | | | Last edited: by Rutan |

So that's two more credits confirmed, one for each name variant so it won't change the common name balance, but both aren't in the database yet. |

| Posted: | | | | JACKIE COOPER ( 5 titles, 5 confirmed, hundreds of profiles) - Arthur of the Britons (confirmed by Rutan, but not profiled yet) - Beasts: The Complete Series (confirmed by SoylentDave) - The Pink Panther Strikes Again (confirmed by T!M) - The Prisoner (confirmed by T!M) - Superman II (confirmed by T!M) JACK COOPER ( 5 titles, 5 confirmed, 24 profiles) - Custer of the West (confirmed by SoylentDave) - Golden Rendezvous (confirmed by Rutan) - The MacKintosh Man (confirmed by Nosferatu) - Psychomania (confirmed by Rutan, but not profiled yet) - The Sister in Law (confirmed by Rutan) INVALID- Sword of Sherwood Forest (credited, as Jack Cooper, in the crew section as "Master of Archery" - not something we track in DVD Profiler, confirmed by Rutan) With the larger number of profiles acting as the tiebreaker, that this British stuntman's common name for our purposes is still Jackie Cooper ("big" titles like 'Superman II', 'The Prisoner' and 'The Pink Panther Strikes Again', all of which have many, many profiles, make sure of that) which means that birth years for both are still needed. | | | Last edited: by T!M |
