| Posted: | | | | These are in the database but are being blocked because they've been misfiled as ADULT:
The Demons (1972) UK BD - 5060110270477 - Nucleus Female Vampire (1973) US BD - 738329105624 - Redemption / Kino Thriller: A Cruel Picture (Limited Edition) (1974) US DVD - 654930303498 - Synapse The Hot Nights of Linda (1975) US BD - 663390000144 - Severin
Is there anyway on my iOS iPad to get the adult setting switched off? |

| Posted: | | | | I cannot speak for the other titles, but the Adult setting for
Thriller: A Cruel Picture (Limited Edition) (1974) US DVD - 654930303498 - Synapse
is certainly not mis-filled...
The setting is controlled in Settings|Parental Control -> Control and Configure. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

| Posted: | | | | The problem is that The Demons (1972) is a horror film and is listed as such ob the US disc; The Hot Nights of Linda (1975) is a murder mystery whodunnit; Thriller: A Cruel Picture (1973) a revenge thriller ala Death Wish (1974); and Female Vampire (1973) is also a horror film. |

| Posted: | | | | Thriller: A Cruel Picture contains hardcore scenes, so should definitely be classified as Adult. Don't know about the others.
Are you using the desktop Profiler and syncing with iOS? If so, you can always change the ratings locally if you don't agree with them. Also, check the Personalize tab for these profiles (in the desktop version) and make sure you haven't checked the exclusion checkbox. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | The Demons doesn't have hardcore scenes, neither does Female Vampire. The main version of The Hot Nights of Linda doesn't but in the bonus disc there's an alternate version that does; it's an awful, awful quality VHS rip and is unwatchable. Yes, the limited edition of Thriller does have a few brief inserts.
However, there are many other discs that have hardcore in them that aren't classed as adult and I get the full listings on my iPad.
The above appear with an image but no detail in the listing. I've logged on line and can't alter my settings, neither can altering the settings on the iPad itself make any difference. They just don't appear properly in the database if I search. |

Ratings: 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 We seem to generally agree that (some of) these titles deserve their Adult rating and it should at least be maintained in the online database. But we still need to solve your problem, so you can see them on your iPad. The setting seems to match what I see in my phone, although I don't see this Ratings(...?); at least not in my phone. In the DVD Profiler Windows program, my settings are set to "Bt Rating Age: 18", the checkbox for "Or has 'Adult' genre". Then I guess the real key here is, that I have "Allow Adult titles" selected and both checkboxes to Hide adult titles are unchecked. I own Thriller, and the rating seems to be set to NR for the Synapse Films release. With all of the above, Thriller Dows show up on my phone. | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | Posted: | | | | I'm still not sure what do with the settings in order to ensure that any adult titles appear in my listing and when I search the database.
What do I do once I'm in "control & configure"?
I have:
First screen:
Enable (switched off) Enable at Startup (switched off) Settings >
Second screen:
Ratings:
None - Adult - By Age
16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21
Or has adult by genre
Where is the "Alow Adult titles" button? |

| Posted: | | | | At the moment, when I look at the database I can't see any adult titles. So, if I lok up for instance any of Vinegar Syndrome's porn titles like Pretty Peaches they don't appear; ditto the UK BD of Caligula which I used to have.
The Demons (1972 UK BD) and Female Vampire (1973 US BD) don't have any hardcore content and are predominantly horror films ala Vampyros Lesbos which is not listed as Adult.
The Hot Nights of Linda (1975 US BD) exists in two editions; the mainstream release which is just the film and ought to be with the two above; no hardcore. And the limited edition which has a second DVD of the hardcore edition. Thriller: A Cruel Picture (1973 US DVD) limited edition does have some hard moments.
These all appear with an image and no details at all and they don't have the format header. |

| Posted: | | | | I totally get what you mean. Volume 1 and 3 of 5 Films 5 Years by Vinegar Syndrome doesn't show up on the iOS app either and it's so annyoing. But there's something that's weird and that is that Sking Gang was accepted as not being rated as Adult even though the back of the cover explicitly shows it. |

| Posted: | | | | It is annoying and I just don't know how to solve the problem. I opened a help request a couple of days ago and still haven't heard anything back from them.
I've also got about 13 titles to add to the database but despite me putting them in a thread for titles not in the database over in the iOS subforum, no one has helped. I use an iPAD so can't ad titles or affect the adult title entry. |

| Posted: | | | | Title with genre Adult show OK, but titles that have rating Adult do not. In fact, the ratings filter in iOS doesn't even include Adult. I hadn't noticed this before.
My opinion on the iOS Profiler is that it works excellently as an extension to the Desktop Profiler, but is really limited on its own.
I know this is not what you want to hear, but the best bet if you want to fix the situation is probably to buy a cheap PC so you can use that to fix the titles by changing their rating, and sync your iOS Profiler from that. This would also let you add all your missing titles. | | | My freeware tools for DVD Profiler users. Gunnar |

| Posted: | | | | Well, I'm awaiting the official help response ... so we'll see what happens.
I can't see me purchasing a PC just for this purpose frankly. They really need to enhance the iOS version on iPADs so it can do all of the same stuff. No real reason why it can't. |

No real reason why it can't. We've been waiting a long time for some fairly serious bugs to be fixed, but no word from Invelos.
