Problem solved. Turns out the IP addresses were off by one digit. To change the Windows computer's IP address in the iPad's DVD Profiler, I went to Databases (not Settings) | DVD profiler iPad | Change Settings; there I changed the wrong number. Then I tried to update the iPad’s database but got an error message that I needed to go to the desktop (DVD Profiler on the Windows computer, not the iPad) to Tools | Options | Sharing and click on Allow changes from remote clients. Now everything works again.

For the last couple days I've been unable to update the profiles on my iPad from the PC's database. As far as I can tell, nothing has changed. The IP address and port are the same as they were before. I'd be grateful for any help that can get the synching to work again.

Thank you!

Thank you very much, Mallrat! That worked! I apologize for taking so long getting back to you. I didn't see your post (and didn't get an email to indicate that there was one) til now.

I've used DVD Profiler for a few years on my Windows computers with very few problems. Recently I installed it on my iPad. When I search on the iPad for a movie that is part of a box set, it doesn't show up. I have to search for the name of the box set, and then I can see all the movies within that set. This is frustrating, since I seldom can remember which box set a particular movie is in--and I use the iPad rather than the PC when I'm in the viewing room. Is this problem fixable? If so, how? Thank you!

Thank you SO much! I downloaded it, and, after some hassle, got all my dvd profiles onto the iPad. I'm delighted.

Thank you for the suggestions. Alas, I know no one who even has a movie database. I’ve read that there are some other apps that will import DVD Profiler’s database. Has anyone here gone that route successfully?

I've used DVD Profiler on my Windows computers for several years and wanted to download it to my iPad--but as has been noted, it's not available in the App Store. Is there any way to get it for the iPad?
